Al Azhar WDA represents the best qualities of his highly sought Straight Egyptian- Thee Desperado/Rofann breeding. He is tall, Ornately refined to an extreme degree, and correct in his conformation. The richness of his unique coloration catches eyes wherever he goes. He is Al Khamsa. Strain: Saglawi. He is trained to a breeding mount or can be live covered. He will accept either Colorado or Missouri AV’s. His foals are extremely correct and exotic and have been sold within days of their offering. Video of foals available. Al Azhar is so intelligent and quick, we began playing with the idea of trick training him, which he loves. He has not yet been trained to saddle.

Azhar is striking to look at and produces foals that are equally beautiful, talented and athletic. His first foal, a knockout colt out of a very plain mare, has gone on to win numerous high point championships in Indiana. Al Azhar has sired foals from a variety of different pedigrees and has not disappointed, passing along extreme type, people loving dispositions, and correct conformation. Refinement, extreme tail carriage and lofty free movement are becoming trademarks for his foals in addition to the golden blonde color for which he is known. He was tested genetically capable of producing a black foal from a properly matched mare, and indeed has sired a typey yearling black daughter. Al Azhar WDA is trained at halter and is ready to go under saddle. Although Al Azhar is energetic and enthusiastic, he is respectful and knows his boundaries. He is currently handled in the breeding shed by a (very) non-horse person, further demonstrating his disposition and potential as a senior stallion for someone just getting started in Arabian breeding, or an established farm. I looked for many years before finding the perfect blending of pedigree, conformation, intelligence, athleticism and refinement that is difficult to find in a single package.
